
Since its inception, Redi Electric has been involved in virtually every type
of major construction project imaginable. The company has completed more than
$120 million in electrical construction projects and participated in modular
construction projects for oil related service companies.
The company has completed water and sewer projects in Anchorage as well as
Barrow. Projects include powerhouses, schools and other public facilities
throughout the North Slope, as well as new facilities for the National
Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration in Barrow and for Alaska Commercial
Company.
Redi Electric participated in the first major renovation of the Hotel Captain
Cook, installed a new fire alarm system and service in the Hilton Anchorage
Hotel, worked on Alaska’s first K-Mart store in Soldotna, the first United
Parcel Service facility at Anchorage’s international airport, the first Office
Depot stores in Anchorage and construction of the world’s largest Fuel Cell
Project for Chugach Electric Association at the Ted Stevens Anchorage
International Airport postal facility. Redi has also completed the New Anchorage
Jail, a new fire rescue station and vehicle maintenance facility at Kulis Air
National Guard Base, a new dormitory at Elmendorf Air Force Base, new quarters
for noncommissioned officers at Fort Richardson and a major medium voltage
upgrade project at Clear Air Force Base.
Redi Electric has been the backbone of the Contractors Support Group serving
Chugach Electric, Municipal Light and Power and Matanuska Electric Association,
Alaska Communications Systems, General Communications Inc., the Municipality of
Anchorage and the Port of Anchorage for more than 25 years. Redi’s service
department supports most of the major businesses in Anchorage and the Valley
including Carrs Quality Centers/Safeway Stores, Flight Services, Wal-Mart, Sam’s
Club, Fred Meyer, Costco, Enstar Natural Gas Company, UPS, Suburban Propane,
Wells Fargo and Tesoro Alaska. The company also worked on medical facilities
across the state including Providence Alaska Medical Center and Kotzebue
Hospital.

senior noncommissioned officers with upgraded housing. Redi was chosen for the
second project, based on the company's superior performance on the first
project.
